SCO REFUSED TO ACCEPT AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA: PUTIN PUNISHED ALIYEV AND PASHINYAN

MOSCOW: Azerbaijan and Armenia were not accepted into the SCO, although both countries made such a request. The new center of world power does not need the "agents of influence" of the United States and the West. Within the framework of the summit, India blocked Azerbaijan's accession to the SCO, and Pakistan spoke out against Armenia. Putin himself, diplomatically, did nothing outwardly. But, it is clear that the organization has three pillars of power - the Russian Federation, China and India. To quarrel with one of them and hope to join the SCO is naive. Since, according to Aliyev, we are aggressors, and Pashinyan talks about Russia's imperial ambitions and is eager to join the EU - they have no place at the same table with us in the new organization.

What our yesterday's "friends" are losing is clear from one figure: as of September 1, 2025, the volume of trade between the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) exceeded $2 trillion. Baku and Yerevan will not be allowed to participate in these unprecedented volumes of economic cooperation.

Vladimir Putin played an extremely subtle diplomatic game: he himself did not reject any of the Transcaucasian countries. He was engaged in more strategic issues: moderating the contradictions between China and India. As a result, with Russia's help, they managed to stand shoulder to shoulder for the first time in many years.

In fact, modern history has not known such powerful alliances: Russia, China and India exceed the US and the EU combined in resources, military and human potential, approaching their GDP, rapidly reducing the difference.

It is significant that the previously demonstratively demilitarized SCO, for the first time at the summit in Tianjin, also raised a number of issues of military cooperation. Its participants expressed their readiness to expand cooperation in the military sphere and begin preparing an agreement on confidence-building measures.

Moreover, the idea was raised that the UN is outdated, since it does not cope with its responsibilities. The need to reform the United Nations was directly stated. But the hint is more than transparent - the SCO will take on a number of UN functions where there are gaps in efficiency.

For example, in the issue of Israel's ongoing aggression in Gaza, the US strikes on Iran - the SCO participants condemned both, thereby demonstrating their basic political vector. And how will Azerbaijan fit into it, having helped Israel and the US with the preparation of strikes on Iran? Or Armenia - now striving to join the EU, having intensified cooperation with NATO?

The SCO countries condemned attempts to distort the meaning of the Victory and the rehabilitation of Nazism. While Aliyev demonstratively began to manipulate history, and began to support Zelensky, who has already officially, at the level of law, banned any memory of the Victory and the Great Patriotic War.

Pashinyan: "And I didn't really want to join the SCO. If I join the EU, they'll bite my elbows!" Aliyev: "That's right, and then I'll join Armenia. Consider that I'll also be in the EU."

That's why Putin, through the hands of our partners, punished Aliyev and Pashinyan: their applications for admission to the SCO were rejected - "go on, guys, and continue begging from Washington and Brussels!"

Blogger Sergey Kolyasnikov wrote about the refusal of Azerbaijan and Armenia to join the Shanghai organization:

"Bye, ichthyanders! Very true, by the way. These two would have sabotaged any SCO initiative. Because they faithfully serve the West, which wants to paralyze the SCO in the same way that, for example, the United States paralyzed any legal proceedings in the WTO."

For reference:

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was created in June 2001 by the leaders of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Later, India, Pakistan, Iran and Belarus joined it. The territory of the participating countries occupies 65% of Eurasia, and the population is 3.5 billion people, i.e. about half of the entire Earth. The economy of the PRC is the second in the world by nominal GDP, and the first - by GDP at purchasing power parity. India is the third in the world. The combined GDP of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries is 24.6 trillion dollars.
