MOSCOW: Russia expressed readiness to help Iran Peskov: Russia is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Iran if necessary. Russia is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Iran if necessary. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), RIA Novosti reports.

“If there are any requests from the Iranian side, then, of course, they will be processed quickly, promptly,” the Kremlin representative answered the question of whether Russia would provide humanitarian aid to the Islamic Republic if it asked for it.

Earlier, Peskov said that Tehran had not requested assistance from Moscow, but noted that Russian support for Iran is “evident.”

The press secretary also said that Moscow does not see prospects for peace between Iran and Israel at this stage, since the conflict between the countries is only growing. He pointed out that Russia is one of the few countries that maintains contact with both sides, as well as “now the United States” on this issue.
