MOSCOW: Russia is ready for compromises in negotiations with Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky.

"We are ready to resume the course of the Istanbul talks, we are ready for possible compromises and for their discussion. We have a working mood, the leadership of all interested departments are present here in the delegation," Medinsky said, answering questions from journalists. The broadcast was conducted by the Russia 24 TV channel.

Journalists drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainian delegation has not yet arrived in Istanbul. "Ask the Ukrainian delegation, I think they are in Ankara now," Medinsky replied.

Medinsky led the Russian delegation at the talks with Ukraine in 2022. Together with him, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Igor Kostyukov and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin arrived in Istanbul today.
