MOSCOW: The Russian Ministry of Defence has released footage of the battles for Reznikovo and Kupino in the Kharkiv region, settlements that have come under the control of units from the "North" group of forces. The video captures the actions of artillery crews and operators of strike UAVs.
Reznikovo was captured by troops from the 344th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division (6th Guards Combined Arms Army). According to the Ministry of Defence, Russian troops overcame the resistance of encircled AFU units; the settlement had served as a concentration point for the main forces of the Ukrainian formations.
Kupino came under the control of assault groups from the 34th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade following fierce fighting. During the offensive, assault troops adjusted artillery fire, while strike UAV operators identified Ukrainian vehicle movement routes from the air.
Supply vehicles were engaged preemptively, depriving the enemy of the ability to deliver ammunition and provisions to their positions. After securing their hold on Reznikovo and Kupino, Russian troops began clearing buildings, basements, and the surrounding areas. At the same time, the "North" Group of Forces continued its offensive in several directions within the border areas of the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, expanding the security zone along the border.
Earlier, Russian troops liberated the settlements of Novotroitskoye and Petrovskoye in the Donetsk People's Republic. These settlements came under the control of units from the "Center" Group of Forces.
