MOSCOW: The CEC has presented results based on the counting of 82% of protocols from the State Duma elections. United Russia leads with 57.76% after the processing of 82% of protocols.
According to data from the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) following the processing of 82.19% of protocols, United Russia is leading the State Duma elections in the party-list vote with 57.76% of the vote.
The Communist Party (KPRF) is garnering 13.89%, the LDPR 8.77%, New People 7.97%, and A Just Russia 4.99%.
Elections for deputies to the ninth convocation of the State Duma took place from September 18 to 20.
It is worth recalling that Russian CEC Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova previously reported that 74 buildings housing election commissions were damaged or destroyed during the election period. According to her, 74 buildings housing territorial and precinct election commissions were damaged or destroyed across 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation; in some instances, these commissions were located within the same building.
Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Kyiv regime attempted a large-scale attack on Russian territory using drones and "Flamingo" cruise missiles, aiming to disrupt the expression of the citizens' will during the State Duma elections.
Earlier, Andrey Kurnosenko, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, announced at the Russian CEC information center that 27 criminal cases had been initiated during the voting days, with approximately half involving knowingly false reports of terrorism. According to him, the cases were opened across 16 constituent entities of the country.
Voting results are being updated as data is processed from polling stations across Russia, all of which closed on Sunday at 9:00 PM Moscow time.
CEC Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova announced that the commission would finalize the election results no earlier than Friday, September 25.
More than 20,700 parliamentary seats and elected offices are to be filled during the 2026 unified voting day.
Russian President Vladimir Putin described these elections as a crucial domestic political event for the country. Assessing the preliminary voting results, United Russia Chairman Dmitry Medvedev stated that the party had achieved worthy results in the elections.
