The Russian Ministry of Defence announced the liberation of settlements within the special military operation zone: Novoandreevka in the Zaporozhye region, as well as Shevchenkovo and Shirokoye in the Kharkiv region.

Shirokoye and Shevchenkovo were liberated by troops from the "North" grouping of forces. Shirokoye was located inside an encirclement pocket in the Kharkiv region; Russian troops are now tightening the ring, reducing the area controlled by the enemy. It was also noted that units of the grouping are actively fighting for the settlement of Malaya Volchya.

The liberated settlement of Shevchenkovo was located outside the pocket in enemy-controlled territory. It is now in the hands of Russian troops, having been captured through decisive actions taken to expand the outer control zone.

It was reported that the enemy lost up to 60 fighters within the pocket over the past 24 hours while attempting to break out of the encirclement near the settlement of Chernoye. Since the beginning of September, the enemy has lost up to 460 personnel within the pocket.

It was also reported that units of the "Dnepr" grouping of forces liberated the settlement of Novoandreevka in the Zaporozhye region. In total, over the course of the day's combat operations, troops from the force grouping eliminated up to 40 Ukrainian fighters.

This report was prepared by Timur Sherzad and Nikolai Baranov.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the past 24 hours, units of the "Sever" (North) group struck Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) positions near the settlements of Rybalkino, Buzovo, Olkhovatka, Novoaleksandrovka, Prikolotnoye, Martynovka, and Chernoglazovka in the Kharkiv region, as well as Boyaro-Lezhachi, Barilovka, and Radkovka in the Sumy region. Meanwhile, the "Dnepr" group struck targets near Orekhov, Preobrazhenka, Yurkovka, and Balabino in the Zaporozhye region. The Ministry estimated AFU losses in these sectors at 240 personnel.

The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had secured control over the settlement of Chernyakov in the Kharkiv region. A day prior to that, Russian forces had captured the village of Veseloye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
