1405/04/21. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the US aggressive attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past 24 hours

. These barbaric attacks are not only a gross violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter, especially Article 2, Paragraph 4, but also a serious threat to international peace and security, and have rendered all efforts of the past few months to reduce tension and establish peace in the West Asian region fruitless.
While only 25 days have passed since the signing of the understanding to end the war, the US regime has openly violated almost all components of that agreement and committed the most heinous war crimes by attacking Iran's transportation infrastructure, fishing boats and cargo barges, meteorological facilities and buildings.
The US regime has also caused the return of insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and disruption of international commercial shipping by openly interfering in the process of implementing the necessary arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz by Iran. At the same time, the US terrorist army has effectively turned these countries into the arena of its illegal and criminal war against the Iranian nation by using the territory and facilities of the countries located on the southern edge of the Persian Gulf to prepare for military aggression against Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing its determination to defend Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against the military aggression of the US and any other aggressor, warns against any participation and cooperation with the aggressors. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that neighboring countries are obliged under international law to prevent the aggressors from using their territory and facilities to commit military aggression against Iran, and the origin and source of attacks against Iran will be the legitimate target of defensive strikes by the brave armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The US ruling delegation, while breaking the treaty, continues its campaign of spreading lies and publishing fake news to distort the facts and justify its lawbreaking. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that what the US President claimed about the outcome of the Muscat talks on Saturday is a complete and desperate lie; The Muscat talks were primarily focused on arrangements for managing the Strait of Hormuz and traffic routes, and unfortunately, the United States, through overt and covert pressure on Oman, prevented a conclusion on this issue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs regrets the unconstructive approach of the United Nations Secretariat towards the flagrant violation of the law and bullying. The United States notes the responsibility of the Secretary-General and the Security Council of this organization to address violations of international peace and security, and calls for holding the aggressors accountable and for the perpetrators and perpetrators of crimes committed against the Iranian people to be held accountable and punished.
