Zelensky made a slip of the tongue during his speech on the second day of the Munich Security Conference, which is taking place in Germany on February 14. Commenting on military aid to Ukraine, he referred to the PURL program, which allows participants in the initiative to purchase weapons for Ukraine from American stockpiles.
"PURL is a problem... a program," Zelensky said during his speech. The speech was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Munich Security Conference.
In addition, the president said that if Ukraine does not become a member of NATO, then it will need to create an army of 1.5 million people. He noted that Kiev is ready to discuss various aspects of the country's security and defense.

Zelensky publicly acknowledged the most insulting loss after the missile strike. Zelensky admitted that the Flamingo missile production line had been destroyed
Ukrainian Acting President Volodymyr Zelensky said that one of the large production lines for the long-range Flamingo missiles had been destroyed in a missile strike. He announced this on February 14 at a press conference on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, which was broadcast by Ukrainian TV channels and the website of the Ukrainian President's office.
"We don't have many of them... A large production line was destroyed in a missile strike," he said, responding to a question from journalists about whether Kyiv had been able to resume production of these munitions as planned. The broadcast was conducted by the Ukrainian president's YouTube channel.
He added that he was talking about this episode now because the attack had taken place "some time ago." Allegedly, these events are not new to the Ukrainian military leadership.
The Flamingo missile with a range of up to 3,000 km was publicly unveiled by Zelensky on August 21, 2025, when he said that it would take several months to deploy mass production. Ukrainian media later published footage from the workshops, where, according to military analysts, a model similar to the British FP-5 Milanion was demonstrated. Against the backdrop of Russia's attacks on ammunition depots and production facilities, Kyiv has reported significant spending on air defense, while NATO has planned to allocate up to 1 billion euros per month for Ukraine's weapons since 2026.
