NEW DELHI: Pahalgam Terror Attack Toolkit: NIA investigation revealed that the Pahalgam terror attack was carried out under a toolkit, in which the entire plan of the attack and strategies like dead drop policy were already decided.
Pahalgam Terror Attack Toolkit: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken charge of the investigation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In the initial investigation itself, the agency has got many important clues, which indicate that the attack was not an ordinary incident, but was part of a pre-planned and organized conspiracy. The investigation has also revealed that this attack was carried out under a special "toolkit", which was duly prepared by a terrorist organization.
According to sources, this toolkit was created by "Tehreek-e-Pashban", a wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba. In this toolkit, every aspect of the entire strategy of the attack, from timing, location, supply of weapons to coordination between the attackers was mentioned in detail. The special thing is that the “dead drop policy” was used in this plan. This policy is a secret strategy adopted by terrorist organizations, under which terrorists are not introduced to each other and they remain unaware of each other. It is only during the mission that they get information about each other's role and the locations of weapons.

Under this policy, weapons are delivered in areas where there is less movement of people - like parks, cemeteries or deserted places. The plan and instructions of the attack were conveyed to the terrorists through such social media apps, which are difficult for the agencies to monitor.
It is being told that before the attack, some terrorists were already hiding in the area, while others were added later. This attack was different in many ways – not only was there a target killing, but for the first time, ordinary tourists were also targeted, apart from religious grounds. This has become a matter of special concern for the security agencies.
Investigative agencies believe that this toolkit can be the foundation of more attacks in the future. This is why now the NIA is moving fast towards breaking this network and reaching the terrorist module behind it.
